Drummers are notoriously the most overlooked & underrated members of the band. They sit backstage hidden behind their kits seemingly interchangeably the backbone of music.
SYNOPSIS: I Got The Beat: The Hands Behind The Sticks is best described as “THE VOICE” for musicians…Yet, it is so much more. A celebrity judged talent show, created specifically for showcasing drummers and drum talent of all ages, amateur & professional alike. All drummers from around the World, will compete weekly, testing their skills and passion for rhythm to earn $3.5 Million Dollars in cash and prizes, a contract every series
& the coveted title of World’s Best Drummer!

The Vision
Drummers of ALL AGES and GENDER are encouraged to enter. ALL AMATURE and PROFESSIONAL drummers are welcome. If you think you can win, you can certainly compete!
Four Celebrity drummers will serve as judges/mentors to contestants - Celebrity judges who are included:

Chad Smith
Travis Barker
Collaboration with Steve Greenwell who is a producer, engineer, mixer & musician who has worked on albums garnering three Grammy nominations. His biggest names in hip hop history include Run-DMC & LL Cool J to rock and roll legends Ernie Isley & Jeff Beck. As a producer himself, he’s guided releases by artists like Joss Stone ;) & James Maddock, as well as the recently released Thistle & Boon record by Jersey artist Karen Mansfield.
To move on in the competition, contestants will be tested/judged each week on a different drumming skill; Including, but not limited to:
Snare & Bass Drum Technique
Bongos & Auxiliary Percussion
Creating Solo Drum Pieces of Music
Dazzling with Drumstick Tricks
Collaborating with Singers & Other Band Members
And so much incredibly more!

Audience & viewer participation is encouraged through text voting and social media engagement
A celebrity host (my dream Justin Bieber ,Pharrell) and Whip snap will entertain, share progress, and introduce segments throughout the show (with hopes) of IGTB filming. With God, all things are possible.)
Backstory videos will punctuate the show, highlighting viewers with interesting facts about the participant’s personal journey & building stronger audience connections to the contestants AND their badass craft & artistry behind the sticks!
Edgy segments will populate each episode, building excitement & inspiring viewers to appreciate drumming in ways they never imagined!
